The LCD hood is suppposed to make the LCD screen viewable in bright sun light. However, the LCD hood that was sent to me prevented me from viewing the LCD screen in any light. The protective clear screen was so badly scratched you could barely see through it. I never even attached it to my dSLR, I simply returned it immediately. I gave this item one star only because you can't give a no star rating.
